The LEGO Club will meet three times during Summer Reading. The theme for the first summer meeting was FOOD. Everybody had a different idea, just the way we like it! Everything looked really yummy but we only have room for six projects in our display case. Here they are: You're entering a bakery! Now you're in the bakery! What better place to find food than in a garden! Just a good old fashioned hot dog. Attack of the giant strawberry and its unsuspecting victims! A giant carrot. They come from miles around to see it! This is a very inventive collaborative piece with a complicated story. What do YOU think? Building is the best, but it's really fun to listen to all the stories that go with the projects. Join us for our next meeting: June 24, 2:00 p.m.

It was a small, but happy, group last night. School was out for the summer earlier in the day and there was a lot going on between awards night at the high school and 4-H meetings. The theme was BUGS and there was enough imagination on hand to fill the room! Almost everyone built something last night, grownups, too! We'll put as many as we can in the display case. Let's look at what everyone made: Moms have big ideas, too! A well-guarded secret bug gate. Bugtopia! A very happy place to be! Bugrusade. The king of bugs rides. Each element tells a story! A sweet little inchworm. A very large ladybug. Another Momtastic creation! We like the exposed brain of the bug wrangler. Radioactive bug on wheels! A radioactive bug spewing green, flesh-eating bile. Yikes! Call the exterminators! This was our last evening program for the summer. We will start meeting during the day as part of Summer Reading. We'll get together again next week on Tuesday June 10, 2 - 3:30 p.m. Check the library home page or your Summer Reading brochure for all Lego dates and times.
