Evergreen Local Policy Statement
As a member of Evergreen Indiana, the Flora-Monroe Twp. Public Library agrees to operate under uniform circulation policies and procedures as stated in the Membership Agreement. Some policies and procedures remain under local control.
The Flora-Monroe Twp. Public Library has modified procedures and fines to comply with Evergreen Indiana (see attached Circulation Policy). The library will continue to implement the following policies and procedures:
· Circulation of materials in demand, such as for book reports, may be limited on a per person basis so as not to deplete a subject area. These items would not be available for ILL.
· Patrons may have three local video items (video, DVD, or a combination) checked out at a time.
· Minor children must be six years old to be registered for a library card.
· ILL requests by Reciprocal Borrowers will be placed through Indiana Share. If postage is required, the Reciprocal Borrower will pay. The librarian has a right to limit requests by one borrower.
RECIPROCAL BORROWING
· Only Flora and Monroe Township residents (and property owners) are eligible to receive a reciprocal borrowing card from a non-Evergreen library.
· The library will honor valid resident library cards from all non-Evergreen libraries that allow reciprocal borrowings according to the list supplied by the Indiana State Library.
